Features

EDI includes syntax highlighting, autosuggest (as of 0.5), inline compilation error warnings and builtin capability to report on test results. It provides a new project wizard can create complete project templates for fast creation of a new application. Edi helps developers keep track of their work with an itemised TODO checklist and a full project search.

Using a pluggable infrastructure it supports projects based on C or Python and their relevant built tools. The build tools allow you to compile (if appropriate) the software currently being edited, run tests and launch the application binary to test your changes. It supports UTF-8 encoded files as well as plain Ascii.
